19 June 2026

The FUJO Institute is delighted to support and promote the upcoming MULTIDISIN Workshop on Disinformation from Multilingual and Minority Language Perspectives, taking place at Dublin City University on Friday, 26 June 2026.

MULTIDISIN is a Research Ireland New Foundations-funded project led by Dr Brendan Spillane and Dr Iker Erdocia of Dublin City University and University College Dublin. Supported by the DCU FuJo Centre and the ADAPT Centre, the project examines disinformation and misinformation from a comparative perspective, with a particular focus on medium-sized and minority languages, including Irish.

Bringing together expertise from linguistics, computer science, journalism, and media studies, the workshop will explore the challenges and opportunities involved in understanding and responding to disinformation across diverse linguistic and cultural contexts.
