Celtic Media Group and the Dublin People Newspaper Group are sponsoring seven training scholarships for DCU journalism students.
Dr Jane Suiter, FuJo Director, said the scholarships will provide students with invaluable hands-on experience of a working newsroom across the Dublin People digital and print platforms, with the possibility of further opportunities for them at Celtic Media Group’s local titles.
The students will be responsible for generating on-line stories and sourcing multi-media content for the web, social media and print editions.
Based in Mullingar, Celtic Media Group publishes five weekly newspapers: The Anglo Celt, Meath Chronicle, Westmeath Independent, Westmeath Examiner and The Offaly Independent.
The Dublin People Group is the largest local newspaper in Dublin, with with three popular weekly titles serving the city: Northside People East, Northside People West & Southside People.
