28 October 2016

FuJo is delighted to welcome Dr Matti Pohjonen to DCU to discuss his work researching online hate speech. Dr Pohjonen will deliver his talk in the DCU Glasnevin Campus on Monday November 21st from 2-4pm.

Dr Pohjonen is a Research Fellow at VOX-Pol, a European Network of Excellence researching the prevalence, contours, and impacts of violent online political extremism and responses to it. He previously worked for the Programme for Comparative Media Law and Policy at the University of Oxford and at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), where he was an AHRC-funded Post-Doctorate Research Fellow.

Dr Pohjonen is invited to DCU as part of a FuJo seminar series examining the methodologies and case studies of social media research.
