FuJo partners with ASU for Journalism Fellowship

02 October 2015

FuJo is partnering with the ASU Water Cronkite School of Journalism to give DCU students the opportunity to participate in the innovative Carnegie-Knight News21 programme.

Established in 2006, News21 is a training programme seeking to redefine journalism education and to foster a generation of journalists capable of reshaping the news industry.

Selected students will first participate in an intensive video-conference seminar organised next spring. ASU will then choose a DCU student for their 10 week reporting fellowship at the ASU newsroom.

Working under the direction of leading news veterans, fellowship students conduct in-depth reporting on critical issues across the US while using innovative digital reporting techniques. Past projects have investigated voting rights, food safety and transportation safety in America. They have featured in The Washington Post, nbcnews.com and the Washington-based Center for Public Integrity.

Further details about DCU’s participation, including application procedures, will be released shortly.
