FuJo member & Ireland’ Climate Ambassador Inspires Hundreds at Green-Schools Awards Ceremony

Mr. Muhammad Sayyam Afzal, a Climate
Ambassador and Doctoral researcher, delivered an motivational talk at the
Green-Schools awards ceremony. With students from 56 schools in attendance, the
event aimed to celebrate achievements in environmental sustainability and
ignite a deeper commitment to climate action.

The event, held at DCU, brought
together vibrant young minds who share a common goal: to make a positive impact
on the environment and foster a sustainable future. As a PhD researcher
investigating the media framing of climate change crises in global north and
south countries, Muhammad Sayyam Afzal has been at the forefront of this
movement.

In his speech, Mr. Muhammad Sayyam
Afzal shared his personal journey as a Climate Ambassador and highlighted the
role of communication in addressing the climate crisis. With his expertise in
climate journalism and recognition as one of the top 100 emerging journalists
through British worldwide program in 2021, he brought a unique perspective to
the challenges we face.

Mr. Muhammad Sayyam Afzal emphasized
the power of collective action and the significance of individual
contributions. He shared stories of impactful campaigns, successful
initiatives, and the positive changes already witnessed in local biodiversity
and climate awareness. His words resonated deeply with the audience, igniting a

The Green-Schools awards ceremony was
