Following the success of our inaugural event, we’re excited to announce the 2nd FuJo PhD Conference 2025, taking place on 5th September 2025 at DCU’s Glasnevin Campus. Hosted by the DCU Institute for Future Media, Democracy and Society (FuJo), this year’s conference will once again bring together PhD researchers from across the country to explore the dynamic intersections of media, democracy, and society in our digital age, present their work, connect with peers, and contribute to interdisciplinary conversations across a broad range of themes.

Call for Abstracts
We welcome proposals for individual presentations and posters from PhD students in any discipline, including humanities, social sciences, computer science, and information systems. Topics may include (but are not limited to):
- Journalism, news, and society
- Democratic processes, deliberation, and participation
- Climate change and advocacy
- Elections, referendums, and political communication
- Digital media, social media, and broadcast platforms
- Misinformation, disinformation, and media literacy
- Gender, sexuality, and identity in media
- Security studies and international relations
