Declan Fahy is an Associate Professor in the School of Communications who researches the public communication of science and health, with a particular focus on how journalists cover health and medicine. He is the Chair of the MSc in Science and Health Communication at the School of Communications. His articles, commentaries, and reviews have been published in journals including Public Understanding of Science, BMC Medical Ethics, Health Promotion Practice, Journalism, and Science. He is on the editorial advisory board of Public Understanding of Science, the editorial board of Environmental Communication, and is a current elected member of the scientific committee of PCST, the global network of science communication researchers and practitioners.
