The National Women’s Council of Ireland and Dublin City University are launching Hearing Women’s Voices? Exploring women’s underrepresentation in current affairs radio programming at peak listening times in Ireland by Dr. Kathy Walsh, Dr. Jane Suiter & Orla O’Connor.
Funded by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, the report explores the extent and nature of the underrepresentation of women in current affairs radio programming and makes recommendations in relation to how this can be addressed to achieve a greater balance of women and men on air.

The report will be launched on Tuesday 10th November at the Department of Justice & Equality. Guest speakers include Minister Alex White, Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, and journalist and commentator Alison O’Connor.
