Cardiff University’s School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies will host the sixth biennial Future of Journalism conference in September 2017 on the theme “Journalism in a post-truth age?”
The conference’s distinguished keynote speakers will be: John Hartley (Curtin University, Australia), Silvio Waisbord (George Washington University, US) and Claire Wardle (First Draft).
DCU FuJo will be represented by Eileen Culloty who will present findings from a study on digital literacy and misinformation. This study examines news literacy competencies among second and third level students while evaluating students’ capacity to distinguish credible and untrustworthy information.
