The Reuters Institute Digital News Report is the largest ongoing comparative study of news consumption in the world. The research includes analysis of international and Irish trends in online news audiences; our attitudes towards paying for news; trust in digital news; and, the impact of brands and social media. The report also investigates the impact of “fake news” on how people engage and curate their news.
Ireland’s participation has been facilitated for the third year through funding provided by the BAI.
Analysis of the Irish data will be provided by researchers from FuJo, the Institute for Future Media & Journalism at Dublin City University, while a panel of industry experts, observers andrepresentatives from the BAI will respond to the report’s findings.
