In partnership with DCU FuJo, the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) will launch of the Irish section of the Reuters Institute Digital News Report 2018 on Thursday, 14th June at 8:30am.
The Reuters Institute Digital News Report is the largest ongoing comparative study of news consumption in the world. The research includes analysis on international and Irish trends in the online news audience; our understanding of social media algorithms, our trust in news and our interest in paying for news. The Report also looks at ‘fake news’ and digital literacy, as well as the popularity of podcasts.
Ireland’s participation has been facilitated for the fourth year through sponsorship by the BAI.
Analysis of the Irish data will be provided by FuJo while industry experts, and representatives from the BAI will respond to the report’s findings.
